The secret is out on another North Florida McCumberGolf gem
The GOLFPLEX is centered in the fastest growing area of North Florida. Located at the intersection of 9A and J.T. Butler Blvd. on the edge of the UNF campus, the GOLFPLEX is just a short drive from most parts of the First Coast.
“Even though we’ve been open for 5 years, people are just now discovering what a unique facility we have to offer,” said Josh McCumber, Director of Business Development for McCumberGolf. “We’re the only public access facility in the Southeastern United States that can offer full-length golf holes (in great condition), a full-length, lighted driving range (they are never ‘irons only’), and short game area. Add to that our club fitting services with the industry’s best manufacturers, a fully stocked pro shop with top of the line apparel and shoes, club repair and courteous professional service, and you have the region’s home for golfers.”
When it comes to the golf, GOLFPLEX’S TifEagle greens are kept at fast pace and are never overseeded, avoiding the twice-a-year transition periods. The most recent addition to GOLFPLEX’S menu of services is club fitting and club repair. “Being able to hit full shots with a launch monitor, outdoors, and with ‘real’ golf balls, we can accurately gauge the right shaft for a simple reshaft job or fit the player to an entire set of new clubs,” said Josh McCumber.
If instruction is what you’re looking for, the GOLFPLEX staff of professionals offers everything from one-on-one lessons to clinics. They instruct juniors to seniors, beginners to professionals. Most instruction is conducted on the area’s only covered grass lesson tee. This will protect you from the heat in the summer and you won’t have to cancel a lesson due to some rain.
As you can see, whether you only have time to just hit a small bucket of balls or if you want to spend a couple of hours playing and working on your game, GOLFPLEX is the place for you.
