Anyone who believes a private golf club cannot be all things to all people has never visited Deercreek Country Club, where serving its member’s multiple passions is a singular pursuit.

Though golf is certainly at its core, Deer-creek has earned a reputation for providing a host of amenities and activities to serve the varying needs and interests of its entire membership. Conveniently located to area beaches, shopping and major highways in Jacksonville’s most desirable area, the club boasts a challenging but entertaining par-71 golf course, a tennis complex with eight Har-Tru tennis courts, a fitness and aerobics center, a swim facility and myriad of dining options to suit every taste.

However, much of Deercreek’s reputation, has been built around its championship golf course, which simply put, is among the finest private layouts in North Florida. Home to U.S. Amateur and USGA Senior Amateur qualifying tournaments, Deercreek is renowned for its demanding dog-legs and sentinel pines-lined fairways. The course wraps around acres of protected wetlands that not only provide character but terrific views of the area’s native wildlife.

A Robert Miller design, Deercreek offers fast but true greens that are guarded by bunkers and gentle mounding. Although the course can stretch to a challenging 6,700 yards, five sets of tees make it playable for the entire family regardless of handicap.

For those as interested in improving their game as playing, Deercreek offers a full teaching area that can accommodate up to 40 players, a full practice range and a short-game area. The club also offers a junior golf program and numerous member outings and tournaments.

The Deercreek clubhouse speaks directly to the southern charm of the private club. The perfect setting for an intimate dinner for friends or a great place to hang out after the round, the clubhouse can also host large functions in its dining room that can accommodate up to 300 people. The clubhouse also houses both men’s and women’s locker rooms and a fully-stocked pro shop.

The dizzying number of activity and amenity options at Deercreek is matched only by the number of different membership options. There are several different golf membership programs, including Full Family, Weekend Family and Jr. Family, and a host of other social membership options to choose from.
