Urban Golf - It’s About Time

You’re a busy professional who loves golf; the challenge, the camaraderie, the courses. But how often do you have 4,or 5, or 6 hours in a day to devote to that passion? And how was your experience the last time you visited a golf facility? Chris Brock shares your passion, and your pain. But more than just commiserating with you over lunch or dinner and a beer or glass of wine, he’s done something about it. And golf, food and a beverage are all involved.

Urban Golf, a 7,000 squarefoot state-of-the art golf experience, is opening on Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville this spring, bringing together all the elements you love about golf, in a fraction of the time, and with the elimination of many of the annoyances that accompany outdoor golf these days. On their state-of-the-art Full Swing Golf simulators, you can play a round on one of their 58 (and growing) library of courses, many of which have hosted golf’s Majors or PGA TOUR events, in an hour by yourself or in just a couple of hours for a foursome (with no slow groups in front of you).

They also have a 9-station indoor driving range that’s more spacious than you’ll find in your local retail store, with synthetic natural turf similar to real grass. The indoor and outdoor chipping and putting greens are the same ones Southwest Greens has installed in the homes of tour pros living in the area. You also have the advantage of being able to rent Edwin Watts’ newest equipment, a great way to try-beforeyou-buy.

Instruction from PGA Professionals is available, including the latest video technology that allows you to see your progress. You can even have a playing lesson with the pro on the course of your choice!Special Events and Clinics can be created for your business foursome or larger groups, all within YOUR time frame, not the game’s. But there’s more than “just” golf here. Think of Urban Golf as a Starbucks for golfers. The café and lounge areas feature free wi-fi, flat screen TV’s, a tapas-style menu with over three dozen wines and beers and a similar variety of cigars.

The Urban Golf simulators also offer local as well as online leagues with like-minded golfers around the world, including an upcoming Ryder Cup style match planned with players in South Africa, England and Malaysia. Golf on your schedule, without the bugs, thunderstorms, darkness, or second- rate range balls and service. Now that’s country club living!

Memberships and smart cards can offer even bigger savings.
