Giving Players a Chance to Compete and Play on Some of Florida's Finest Layouts

Hampton Golf Executive Tournaments The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach annually serves as the home to golf’s unoffi cial "fifth major" championship and currently features the richest purse in the game at approximately $9 million.

This coming December the fabled course will serve as the venue for the final event in the Hampton Golf Executive Tournament Series, capping a yearlong string of tournaments that will allow a contingent of amateur golfers from across the state of Florida to compete like the pros.

Hampton Golf, a management company that promotes courses throughout Northeast Florida, Ft. Myers, Orlando and Tampa Bay, started a competitive series for its members in 2007, and because the participants were so receptive to the idea, drastically expanded the number of events this year.

“We decided to step it up a notch,” said Heather Camp, director of communications. “In the past we have had four tournaments but we got such a big response from people wishing we had more and we responded to those requests. It gives our members more chances to get involved in a friendly competition and win great prizes.”

The tournament series allows members to earn points based on participation and performance for a chance to win prizes like a free Full Golf membership to one of the four participating executive clubs, a free round of golf at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course, a free 2009 Executive membership and the coveted title of Executive Club Champion.

In addition to all the prizes, competition and benefits gained from registering for an Executive Membership, the tournament series gives participants an opportunity to play on a number of pristine private courses throughout Northeast Florida.

The series includes stops at The Cypress Course at The Grand Club, Osprey Cove, The Grand Club Pine Course, The Golf Club at North Hampton, The Golf Club at South Hampton, Grand Haven, Amelia Island Plantation, WGV Resort - The King and Bear, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and Ocean Hammock at Palm Coast.
