WGV Resort - The King and Bear St. Augustine

For the first time in history, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus have paired to create the King & Bear. The King & Bear is the only course collaboration between golf's greatest legends. Putting aside their legendary rivalry, these two Hall of Famers have collaborated on a truly remarkable golf course of unparalleled beauty, challenge and design.

The course features loblolly pines and open meadows on the front nine while the natural beauty of 200-year-old live oaks with huge, shady canopies perfectly complement the back nine. The signature feature of the course is lakes lined with large coquina rocks, and coquina is also incorporated into several bunkers and cart paths. Measuring 7,279 yards from the stone tees and 5,119 from the green tees, this course is sure to challenge the skilled golfer while providing player-friendly conditions for the novice.

The King & Bear hosted the 2001 and 2002 Legends of Golf, a champions TOUR event; a Shell's Wonderful World of Golf match between Palmer and Nicklaus in May 2000; the second stage of the 2003 PGA TOUR Qualifying School; and the 2004 Champions TOUR Qualifying School Finals. Arnold Palmer selected hole number 15 as one of his "Dream 18" in Sports Illustrated's Preview to the Ryder Cup 2006.

Range Balls and on-cart GPS, as well as complimentary apples on the first and tenth tees are included with your fee.
